SMA 1 Semarang

SMA 1 Semarang ( 1 Senior High School Semarang ) is one of the historic old buildings in the city of Semarang is located at Jalan Taman Supeno Minister. The building was built by the Dutch East Indies government in the year 1936 - 1938 and inaugurated in 1939.
This building is a development of the HBS V (Dutch school) that has been established previously in the Street Youth (now SMA Negeri 3 Semarang). Inaugurated by the Governor of the Dutch East Indies

In 1942, this building was occupied by Japanese troops and used as a residential school education by the Japanese Army until the Japanese surrender to the Allies (1945). After the Dutch took over this building, its function was changed to the Dutch Army Hospital. And in 1946, its function was changed to another school that is HBS (Hegere Burger School), AMS (Algement Middlebure School), VHO (voorbereidend Hoger Onder Wijs), MS (Middlebare School).
New on December 12, 1949 after the Dutch government submitted to the Government of Indonesia, it officially became the School Middle School Upper Level. In the year 1949-1950 for the high school A and school B, school A and then moved to Jl. Youth Affairs and now a high school 3. In the 1956/1967 school year is broken down into high school B B.1 and B.2 in which high school in 1960/1961 school year B.1 changed to SMA I and SMA to SMA II B.2 majoring in PAS, PAL, SOS and BUD.
In the year 1969/1970 SMA I and SMA II merged into High School I-II with a single principal. And the 1977/1978 school year is broken down into the I-II SMA 1 and SMA 2 which then move to a new building on Spring Street New Semarang. In the year 1978-now to SMA Negeri 1 Semarang. and in 2006 has become the international standard school stubs .
