Warak Ngendok or in Javanese is Warak Ngendhog is a toy that is always associated with the celebration Dugderan .
These toys tangible fictitious creature which is a combination of several animals that symbolize the unity of various ethnic groups in Semarang. It is unclear origin Warak Ngendhog, This invention is a toy animal in the form of statues or dolls made of earthenware piggy bank. Who inspired the making was nobody knew. Dugderan
Dugderan is a festival to mark the start of the fasting month of Ramadan in which was held in Semarang City. The celebration that began in colonial times was centered in the area of Simpang Lima. The celebration was opened by the mayor and enlivened by a number of firecrackers and fireworks (the name "Dugderan" an eruption of sound onomatope).
